Our townhome is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom unit that is 3 levels: The living room, kitchen, and dining area are on the ground level. Two bedrooms and one bathroom are on the second floor, and the partially finished basement contains and laundry. Our unit is smoke-free and we have never had any pets.

Our assigned parking spot is less than twenty feet from the front door, with other open parking spots nearby. Our unit is situated near a large tree in the front and another complex in the back, providing shade and keeping the unit cooler in the summer. There is easy access to a dumpster and recycling at the end of building. There are multiple playgrounds at village green, as well as open grass for kids to run and play.

Maintenance staff resides on the Village Green premises and is available 24/7 for emergency situations. The monthly co-op fee ($301) covers the cost of maintenance of all common grounds, as well as the repair and replacement of original Village Green refrigerators, stoves, furnaces, electrical, and plumbing inside the unit. It also includes the cost of property tax, which is typically around $1,300 and up a year for units of comparable size in this area of Omaha.

As an example of maintenance and use of the co-op fee: our gas stove went out of commission 3 months ago. Within two days, VG maintenance had purchased and installed a stove in our townhome! This process has made our life much lower stress the past three years while being homeowners.

We have absolutely loved our time here and are sad to be leaving. We hope you will see all that the Village Green community has to offer! The neighborhood is quiet, well maintained, and safe. It is in very close proximity to many things: the Old Market and Downtown, Creighton University, the Omaha Zoo, and right next to the Lauritzen Botanical Gardens (where you will get free entry as a village green member)! With easy access to I-80 from 13th street, it is convenient to find to quickest route to wherever you are going in Omaha or Council Bluffs.

My wife and I have absolutely loved living at Village Green. We believe that with the prices of apartments in Omaha, purchasing a townhome has many advantages, including and a true place to call home.
